Prior to initial consult and what to expect during initial consult 

After scheduling your initial consult, you will be emailed two forms to fill out prior to our first meeting. These will include general information about you, your current health and fitness levels, and your goals for personal training. It will also include a waiver, which will need to be electronically signed prior to starting a training program. 

Your initial consult is a chance for us to talk and plan your program. It allows me a chance to get to know you and what you want to accomplish with personal training. There may also be a movement screen, depending on what you want from personal training. This is a low key, no stress, get to know each other session. 

In person sessions

Rambling started out training in local parks in Missoula, and we can continue to do that. We now have a location in town (1521 Cooper St) that will provide a more predictable environment. Masks are optional and if you prefer I wear one during your session, please don’t hesitate to ask. As always, if you have any questions email me at rambling.fitness@gmail.com.

Please wear appropriate clothing that allows you to move freely and keeps you covered.

You might also want to bring water for your session.

Massage Etiquette

You will receive an email with two forms to fill out prior to your first massage. These forms are mandatory. If they are not received, you will need to reschedule. Contact Rambling Fitness if you require printed copies of these forms to fill out.

Rambling Fitness has a zero tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior. Massage is for therapeutic and relaxation only. Any insinuations, jokes, suggestions, or other actions will result in an immediate termination of your session and you will be banned from any future service at Rambling Fitness. You will also be charged for your full session.

Please arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to your appointment.

Draping is mandatory at Rambling Fitness unless you are fully clothed. The therapist will step out of the space to allow you to undress to your level of comfort, and again at the end of the massage. When working on you the therapist will uncover only the area that is being worked on and preserve your modesty. The therapist will communicate with you throughout the session so that you are aware what she is doing and when to shift and move.

Communication is very important in order to have the best outcome. Please be sure to give your input during your session, I’m not a mind reader!

Bruising and soreness can happen with deep tissue and instrument assisted work and is normal. It typically lasts for 24-72 hours. Treat it as you would any other ache and be sure to stay hydrated.

Renewing programs

At this time, you must renew your chosen program or service on your own or through me. We hope to have a subscription option one day, but we are still in our website infancy, so please bear with us. You will get an alert email at the end of your program to remind you to renew. 

Cancellations/Rescheduling

Please give at least 24 hours notice (via text, email, or DM) for any cancellation or rescheduling needs. At this time I do not have a policy regarding cancelling in less than 24 hours and I would like to keep it that way. Please understand that your scheduled time is reserved for you and you alone, so be respectful of both of our time.

That being said, life happens! Please do NOT come to your appointment when you are sick! You will be sent home and told to drink fluids, eat soup, get rest, etc. in the most grandmotherly of ways I can muster!
